Chairman Scott to lead Discussion on Domestic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at St. Joseph’s Hospital

Today, Wednesday, May 27, Senator Rick Scott, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, is hosting a roundtable discussion on domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing, federal procurement policy, and patient safety.
The roundtable will examine how the federal government can restructure its procurement practices to prioritize domestically manufactured pharmaceuticals and activate existing American manufacturing capacity. Chairman Scott will open with remarks then facilitate discussion with the roundtable participants.
