Hoy nuestra amada Venezuela llora, pero también ora. Es el momento de que cada ciudadano se convierta en el cirineo de su hermano, en el guardaespaldas de la vida, en un constructor de la nueva Venezuela desde el lugar donde se encuentre. Tomados de la mano de Dios, con la verdad, la humildad, el trabajo honesto, disciplinado y responsable, escuchemos la voz de Cristo cuando nos dice: «Levántate, toma tu camilla y anda» (Juan 5:8). Que Venezuela, herida pero llena de fe, no aparte su mirada del único Dios que todo lo puede, porque Él transforma el dolor en esperanza y las ruinas en cimientos para un nuevo comienzo.
Esta esperanza también debe traducirse en conducta y conciencia ciudadana. Reconstruir un país no depende únicamente de levantar edificios, sino de levantar valores: respetar la vida, actuar con solidaridad, cumplir nuestros deberes, servir con honestidad y tender la mano al necesitado. Una nación renace cuando cada uno decide ser parte de la solución. Que este sea el tiempo de demostrar que la fe auténtica se convierte en acción y que, unidos como un solo pueblo bajo la guía de Dios, Venezuela volverá a levantarse con más fuerza, dignidad y esperanza.
Venezuela, rise up and walk!
Today our beloved Venezuela weeps, but it also prays. This is the moment for every citizen to become the Simon of Cyrene for a neighbor, a protector of life, and a builder of a new Venezuela from wherever they are. Hand in hand with God, guided by truth, humility, honest work, discipline, and responsibility, let us listen to Christ’s words: «Rise, take up your mat and walk» (John 5:8). May Venezuela, wounded yet full of faith, keep its eyes fixed on the one true God, for He alone can turn sorrow into hope and ruins into the foundation of a new beginning.
This hope must also be reflected in civic conduct and civic responsibility. Rebuilding a nation is not only about restoring buildings; it is about restoring values: respecting life, acting in solidarity, fulfilling our duties, serving with integrity, and extending a helping hand to those in need. A nation is reborn when each person chooses to become part of the solution. May this be the time to show that genuine faith becomes action, and that united as one people under God’s guidance, Venezuela will rise again with greater strength, dignity, and hope.
